The much awited mission , Artemis Moon mission may be progress by H2 2023.
“The data we got back from Artemis I is critical in building confidence in this rocket to send humanity back to the Moon,” said John Blevins, SLS chief engineer. The mission may witness first woman on moon surface in mankind history.
SLS (Space Launch System) is a powerful rocket developed by NASA to support future human deep-space exploration missions, such as the Artemis program. The Artemis mission aims to send astronauts to the Moon and establish a sustainable human presence there, in preparation for future missions to Mars. The first Artemis mission (Artemis 1) is an uncrewed test flight planned for later this year and will be launched by the SLS.
The proposed plan for the Artemis program includes multiple missions to the Moon over the next decade, with the ultimate goal of establishing a sustainable human presence on the lunar surface.
Some of the challenges faced by the Artemis program include:
- Funding: Sufficient funding is necessary to achieve the goals of the Artemis program and sustain a human presence on the Moon.
- Technological advancements: New technologies are needed to support human exploration and habitation on the lunar surface.
- International collaboration: International collaboration is crucial for the success of the Artemis program, as it is an expensive and complex endeavor.
- Human factors: Ensuring the safety and well-being of astronauts during long-duration missions is a significant challenge.
- Lunar environment: The lunar environment poses various challenges, including extreme temperatures, radiation, and the lack of a protective atmosphere.
- Logistics: Logistical challenges, such as supplying and sustaining a human presence on the Moon, must be addressed.
